چکیده
Abstract. The development of a sustainable wood energy chain is an essential part ecological and transition in Reunion Island (Indian Ocean), where Acacia mearnsii the main potential resource identified to date. In order assess future biomass supply strategies, major first issue gain knowledge spatial distribution this species forest stands. In study, we assessed very high resolution multispectral imagery for mapping stands study area located Western Highlands region, expands alongside heterophylla, endemic Cryptomeria japonica, exotic stand. A reference database including 150 samples seven classes (Acacia (mature non-mature), heterophylla ‘herbaceous areas’, ‘bare soils’) was used classify Pleiades image acquired May 2020. Spectral textural indices were incremental classification procedure using random classifier. The best results (Kappa = 0.84, global accuracy 84%) obtained all spectral bands. resulting map enables analyzing different stands.

Mapping dead wood distribution in a temperate hardwood forest using high resolution airborne imagery
Dead wood, in the form of coarse woody debris and standing dead wood, or snags, is an essential structural component of forest ecosystems. It plays a key role in nutrient cycling, ecosystem functions and provision of habitat for a wide variety of species. In order to manage dead wood in a temperate hardwood forest, an understanding of its availability and spatial distribution is important. This...

متن کاملSemantic segmentation of forest stands of pure species combining airborne lidar data and very high resolution multispectral imagery
Forest stands are the basic units for forest inventory and mapping. Stands are defined as large forested areas (e.g., ≥ 2ha) of homogeneous tree species composition and age. Their accurate delineation is usually performed by human operators through visual analysis of very high resolution (VHR) infra-red images. This task is tedious, highly time consuming, and should be automated for scalability...
متن کاملSupporting large-area, sample-based forest inventories with very high spatial resolution satellite imagery
Information needs associated with forest management and reporting requires data with a steadily increasing level of detail and temporal frequency. Remote sensing satellites commonly used for forest monitoring (eg, Landsat, SPOT) typically collect imagery with suffi cient temporal frequency, but lack the requisite spatial and categorical detail for some forest inventory information needs. Aerial...
متن کاملImproved coastal wetland mapping using very-high 2-meter spatial resolution imagery
Accurate wetland maps are a fundamental requirement for land use management and for wetland restoration planning. Several wetland map products are available today; most of them based on remote sensing images, but their different data sources and mapping methods lead to substantially different estimations of wetland location and extent. We used two very high-resolution (2 m) WorldView-2 satellit...
